Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for
Vienna Public School District #55
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Vienna Public School District #55 for 2025 will be held on December 8, 2025 at 5:45 pm at the Vienna Public School District #55 Board Room at 310 North 3rd Street, Vienna, IL 62995. II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $1,152,021.00. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $1,715,971.00. This represents a 48.95% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service for 2024 was $238,714.32.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service for 2025 are $248,311.04. This represents a 4.02% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $1,390,921.95.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $1,964,282.04. This represents a 41.22% increase over the previous year.
